I killed a wasp swarm, but i got in trouble for killing a Carnute

I killed a "wasp swarm" but it turned out to be a "Carnute" >.>
It was just after reaching the Watch fighting the Elder Eoten- and Puck came to tell me (whilst in the midst of my fight), that I was a bad human. I hope that i didnt kill the forest realms or something
