Poor Audio Quality Issues

I've been very excited to get started and play this game for the first time. But, when I launched the game I noticed that the audio was REALLY weird and just sounded really low quality. I don't think I am being picky, but it sounds like my headset is underwater. My audio works wonderfully for all my other games, videos, Spotify etc.
I have tried my best to troubleshoot but I have found nothing... I messed with all of the audio settings, restarted the game, and double-checked Windows audio settings.
This really affects my experience of the game so far making it quite unappealing to play when the audio is not right.
For reference, I am using the Sony WHX1000 Bluetooth headphones for gameplay.
