controller menu insistent for dialog, inventory and crafting/upgrades

dialog/inventory/crafting navigation seems broken with controller. Upgrade options do not present and after watching a video I tried with a mouse and success! The 3 areas I see in issue are upgrades/applying enchantments to items, navigating inventory that is longer than the initial window (does not scroll) and in dialog where you are given options, a mouse is required. This seems to all be related to inability to scroll/select options using the controller. In dialog, there are occasions I can see the (A) button for each which would lead me to believe the code is almost there but that fades when I try to select something. Workaround is using a mouse to assist, but that is not optimal.
