Things you can or can't do with a broken arm

Apparently you are able to block and wield weapons that require one or two hands to use. You can carry an umbrella and glide and harvest materials. However, it is not until you try to jump that a notice is given that you can't do that with a broken arm. However, it seems that you can as my character continued to jump without any issues.
