My 'storage' building was destroyed and I was running around picking up the stored resources that had gotten dropped up. I lost a tonne of items as they just disappeared. Some didn't even drop to the ground but stayed floating in mid air. The ones hanging in mid air never dropped to where I could reach it.

As logs can contain sensitive information please do no share them on AHA! or other public forums and send them to us by submitting a Zendesk Ticket.
You can submit a ticket by:
Stay on the “How do I get my player logs?” page or
Go to https://inflexiongames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us and on the top right hand side of the site select Submit a Request
If possible, please also press F2 while in-game with the floating resources visible and attach the overlay menu to this post so we can better understand what maybe causing the issue.
