Cannot complete a "help build mission"

Two items, weathered saws, are on shelves and cannot be built - there is no way for me to position the cursor on them to complete the build. I spent a lot of effort on that build too :( So I will never get the reward

Additionally, there are crude pillars nearby that will not allow me to add any additional material to them, even tho I can select them.
