Turn off the ability to shoot and destroy your own chests/base. Might be good to make it so that accidentally triggering the rapid fire on a pistol doesn't wipe out half your chests and their contents.
Hey there! Thanks so much for your post. I have edited the post title so we can better identify it but if you feel we have changed the meaning, please feel free to edit it. I have not merged it into this other post about Estate destruction as that post seems to be more about making it harder to destroy the base whereas this one sounds like requesting for the ability to turn it off completely. - Steph
Q_Q almost finished reorganising everything and accidentally set off my Portal Pistol inside... blew away a few building foundations... and everything above them disappeared Q_Q
Im ok with other creatures coming in and rampaging through the house but when the companion goes charging off after them and blithely wrecks half the house (and continues to keep hitting after the critter is dead) an optional toggle to off friendly fire damage to property is on the cards. Otherwise should the devs make the companions and other players in your group open to friendly fire?
There is the keybind H, which puts away everything in your hands. So we've been given the tools to, quite easily, not blow our own stuff up. I think destroyable buildings is suitable for both the game and the genre, and that people should use the tools already provided, rather than asking the devs to spend time implementing a feature that I feel takes even more away from a sense of realistic consequences to ones actions.
If you blew your stuff up, the only one to blame is yourself. The game shouldn't need to hold your hand every step of the way, at some point, the responsibility for your own stuff needs to rest on your shoulders.
yeah for real, i think i'm done with this game now needless to say....
lost most everything of value and mass as it just times out apparently too.... xC
100+hours of grinding out materials and poof! didn't know i was holding the grenade
