Greenhouses: Mystical Plants

I would like to pitch the idea of adding Greenhouses, controlled plant production as a concept idea in the air.



Greenhouses, used as buildings to produce various Fae plants, with either limited properties, resources, or unique abilities to influence gameplay.


These Greenhouses serve as unique controlled climates for plants, or aesthetically pleasing gardens.


To fit the Gaslamp Genre, these greenhouses could have a unique feature of: Glass of Greenhouses are infact Reflections of various Biomes, simulating a plants Biome.

    Botany: Guide to for Fae Gardening


    • Addition of Hostile plants, these can be studied and collected for Quests, Home Decor, or Future Defense games (turrets/traps)

    • They can be cultivated in Greenhouses, these greenhouses could use the Lotus Components for added usage.

    • Fae Plants could be additional "Emitters" similar to current workbench Modifiers.

    • Fae Plants could provide new Fibre Modifiers, or alternatively provide modifiers specific for crafting class (e.g. plant modifier for clothing but not weapons). Risks over complicating crafting, but I do suggest clear UI detail or reference.

    • Hostile or Unique plants can open up potential Pet gameplay.

    E.g. plants/mushrooms could be roaming in a zone or near where it was planted (pot plant), they could hold additional behaviours to make home estates more lively, or be given unique fertilizers.

    • Potential for a Home Ent or a Living tree decor. This is can be tentative due to the Gaslamp genre.


    • Potential for Bow additions with magic fibres of plants, however I do recognise it may not fit the Gaslamp genre.

    • Addition of potentially adding a new Grenade class. Risk is the addition of more materials adding to crafting complexity. No real recommendation here.

    I wanted to add these could be plant tools that have some strange effects, maybe even plant clothing as well. Other addition a could be some wacky mobility changes.
