Aha moment between The Watch and Ascended Realms

I probably just missed something, but I got bogged down a bit between The Watch and getting access to Ascended Realms and had a huge Aha moment, only thanks to the amazing discord channel. I hadn't realized the function of the trader tab. I made it this far with a ranged character, and no firearms. Used the sling completely. I had no idea you could use the trader tab to purchase items from any trader you had been to from your base. I had no idea you could use the trader tab to figure out which traders you had neglected to find. I didn't have any way to that point to figure out which realms I'd even traveled to for sure. Someone in the discord channel explained this to me, and now I'm going back to all of the realms I neglected to get to the trader in (mostly the first two levels where I wasn't really sure what I was doing yet) and specifically I found a rifle this way! This would have changed my whole game experience. If there isn't something like this already, and I know tutorials can't be too heavy, could there be something that goes through the tabs and includes something about how the traders function this way for purchases, and the importance of at least visiting every trader so that you can buy later, and the ability to use this to track your realm progress etc.?
