Short form: I want a crafting station that has some way of showing the upgraded stats of the item, and ideally, to directly craft the upgraded item.
Long form: Due to things like soft caps and how stats dramatically increase between tiers, it can be pretty difficult to know what you are crafting will actually turn out better than what you already have or if you are going to hit any soft caps. This is especially true once you are up to the t4 gear, but this uncertainty has applied to all levels of the game - in my experience. Having a preview of what the stats would be after upgrading to any particular tier would be super helpful in confirming good choices.
Solutions: My favorite concept for a solution to this actually enables you to craft whatever tier of the item you want without having to visit the upgrade table after. I would like to see a new panel (or tab) that allowed for all the essence types to be put directly into the build. This means you would be able to see what the gear stats will be at each tier (assuming you have the essence to put into it), but would also allow you to directly craft a fully upgraded piece.
Mind blown idea: I would treat the Upgrade Stations as an Augments themselves. Sure, they still function to upgrade items on their own, but they also augment your crafting stations to be able to directly craft the upgraded item.
