When knocked out playing solo can we get notified if survivor companion is able to revive us or injured as well

First off I'd like to say i love the game so far. When knocked out playing solo can we get notified if survivor companion is able to revive us or injured as well. I spend a lot of time waiting when downed not knowing if i should wait for revive or just give up to respawn.
