Resources to building

When I build my home, put my containers in and fill them with my resources, i can automaticaly and instantly craft anything i already have the resources inside containers, but if I want to build a new crafting construction, i have to pick and have the materials on me to do so, but if to craft isn't needed, why is it to build?

I understand if it was to build on the wilds or random places, but inside home where i can craft automaticaly without picking materials, why not building as well?

Just a thought, loving the game.
