So I always had an issue with the lighting in the game but could never quite put my finger on it until now. It's that characters look kinda unappealing and undetailed, especially in shadows.
I realized that almost all games have some kind of soft, artificial lighting on character models at all times. Nightingale apparently doesn't do that which means that NPC's and enemies in dark rooms can be hard to spot, their details don't show and it's generally very different from how most games present themselves.
Imo the visual experience would greatly benefit from having that kind of lighting.
