The current UI for planting is a bit cumbersome when trying to interact with a large number of plots or pots within a farm.
Not only that, but the current crafting menu freezing issues have been making large scale planting really painful.
To make planting an easier and more intuitive experience, for both the player and perhaps the followers as well - Making seeds equipable in the player offhand to throw over soil would make the experience less of a chore.
Going forward, even vintage planters could be a cool tool to have, helping players to make farms more enjoyable and cozy as they should be, and perhaps allowing the devs to make more interesting soil designs/planters!
Yes please.
I do have 8 planters outside, but that's the pain treshold for how much I can go around hit-E-mouse-over-doubleclick-escape on repeat, it's just way too many clicks to plant seeds. Most of the mechanics in the game are quite polished and fun in and of themselves, but farming, ugh.
For the vintage planter - A radial menu like the ones used for guns can be implemented to pick the seeds (which would need to be identified by using the grown produce icon), only filtering from seeds inside the player inventory.
