My Refined Cooking Station is in the middle of the first floor of my house. There is an entire floor and a roof above it. When I try to Ignite the fire to craft, it says that it won't ignite in the rain. My smelter isn't giving me this message.

It's happened to me twice now that I've fallen (flown) from towers in combat. After being hit by enemies, you literally just fly away. I have the same behavior, only less intensely, when I am attacked by enemies or animals on the ground.

Prior to the patch whenever I died I would return to the closes cairn I put down, but now it sends me back to my estate instead. This has happened when I was in a different realm as well.
