Makeshift Torch Turning Off while looting

Every time I pick up something from the ground while having a Makeshift torch in my hand, the light turns off, then after it it turns back on. This makes my screen flash while I'm trying to loot at night and it's very disturbing. (I'm sensitive to flashing lights)
