Cloud Save not Syncing to Steam deck

Been playing Offline mode on PC for a bit. Downloaded Game to Steam Deck. So I could continue play while on road this weekend. Went to play on Steam deck and it was trying to have me create a new Character. New Game. Logged out. on the Steam Deck then logged in on PC. In noticed game was previously on steam deck. Asked if I wanted to override. I choose No. I didn't want to loose all that game time.

  • Uninstalled on steam deck

  • Checked for up dates on steam deck

  • Reinstalled Game

  • Restarted steam deck

  • Loaded game

  • My Offline cloud save did not show up. Only option was new game.

  • I have stopped there. Guess I will not get to continue current play through. While on the move this weekend.

Please look into cloud Save transfer issue.

This is a fun and challenging game to play. I will be looking forward to introducing people to this game. When the cloud transfer from PC to steam deck is fixed.

    Hi there!
    We just changed some settings on Steam Cloud, can you please try the following:

    1. Restart Steam on the device that you want backed up

    2. Launch the game once

    3. Close the game, let Steam Cloud sync

    4. Restart Steam on the device you want to access the cloud save from (if on Steam Deck, a restart should do)

    5. Let the Steam Cloud sync

    6. Launch the game on your second device to confirm

    Please let us know if you can now access your Offline Saves on your other device.

    Great success.

    I managed to sync my GeForce now save with both desktop and Steam Deck.
    I deleted my desktop profile before syncing to be absolutely sure it will sync the GeForce one. But I left my previous Steam Deck profile intact and it did preserve both characters. Which is perfect.

    Same here. I tried on several machines including a fresh install and a new character. Nothing ever gets synced to the cloud.

    From cloud_log.txt it looks like the game is trying to sync saves from the install folder, but there are no saves there. They are all in %AppData%\Local\NWX\Saved

    Ive even had a developer say its suppose to be working. Ive created a char and save world on a pc trying to sync to steam deck and vice versa and i cant access it on another device either. The cloud even says its syncing but its not.

I have two devices I play on and my offline save doesn't show up on my second device even though steam cloud saves is on.
